Nail Art 3: Lady bird.

This week I have made my nails look like either a lady bird or red dalmation print (basically red nail varnish with black spots).
Super easy to do.

They looked better in real life, but yup, super simple to do!
I just used a cheap red nail varnish, my black nail art pen and a top coat. They chipped within a day though (did these on Weds) and now are only half there.
Something different tomorrow then!

Oh deer: Part 2.

This post should have been with the previous "Oh deer" post - but never mind!

My two other deer necklaces.

This blue deer is called "Docey Doe" and came in a variety of colours from LLROK! I also have some yellow earrings.

This beauty is from Kate Garey for Urban Outfitters. I was too stingy to pay the £16 they were asking so I bought mine off ebay for less than a fiver. Win!

Hope you've enjoyed my deer.

Baby, baby, baby ohhhh.

Last week I made a little trek up to Newbiggin-by-the-sea to visit my friend Kelly and her new baby Neve. I used to work with Kelly at the cinema so known her for a long time, and worked with her husband Jordan for even longer, so was really pleased for them both when Neve was born 3 months ago.
She was such a cute little baby, and even though she had just been getting over a tummy bug she was very happy. Some babies hate new people but Neve didn't seem to mind me which is good!

I bought Neve the cutest onesies!
As I love owls I had to buy these (and was tempted to keep them for myself even though I don't have a boyfriend yet let alone a baby - crazy I know haha).

so cute!

The best part is that they come with a little pink owl soft toy that Neve can keep forever, so she can always remember me and how good owls are :)

BSL

Last night I started Level 1 in British Sign Language. I learnt a little when I was younger and always wanted to explain my small knowledge of the subject. Apart from the course hopefully helping my career (I want to work with children with special needs) I also think it is a really useful language to learn. I really think it should be compulsory in schools and everyone should be taught, at the very least, the basics.
My course is 2 hours on a Wednesday evening and will last for 30 weeks (not including school holidays!). Once I have completed Level 1 I really want to go onto Level 2, and possibly even Level 3!
I've been on YouTube and there is an amazing person called Lee who taught himself sign language and has uploaded himself signing to hundreds of songs (literally). You can find him here.
I've enjoyed watching this video as it's probably one of the slower songs he does (so hopefully easier to pick up!) and also with R.E.M. breaking up I figured it was pretty fitting.
Enjoy!

Forever 21.

Nearly two weeks ago I went to London for the weekend.
The main reason I went was because two of my good friends from uni are both leaving the country. My friend Jess will be in Kenya now. She's there for 3 months then off to Australia for 3 months so I won't see her again for a long time :(
My other best friend Sophie is heading off to South Korea (again) for a minimum of 3 months. Sniff. It's not as bad though as Sophie will have the internet so we can skype (yey!)

While I was there I stayed with my friends, and ex-flatmates, Lucy and Harry.
In between meeting Jess and Sophie; Lucy and I went shopping and I finally got to go to Forever 21.

Even though it was a Saturday on Oxford Street I was loving it. The clothes were so well priced and lovely it was really hard to choose what to buy!

I finally decided on these lovely things:

First up is a lovely red jumper that cost only £12.75! It looks great over dresses :)

This jumper cost £14.75 and is thin. I like thick jumpers but its so hard to find a good thin one! I'll be able to wear this when its cool and when its really cold I can layer.

My best find was probably this dress:

I'm in love! This cost £18.75!!! I couldn't believe my eyes it's so nice!

I also bought a couple of necklaces (it wouldn't be me without them!). I spent ages looking at them all and at one point I probably had at least 10 in my hands to decide between. I only let myself buy 2 though.

A lovely little woman who's ready for the winter months!

And a little brown dog.
Both cost a tiny £2.40 :)

Pre-School.

Today I started a Level 3 Diploma in the Children and Young People's Workforce at the Pre-School Learning Alliance in Gateshead. I'm so excited by it! I can't wait to get my placement sorted and started. I'm hopefully going to try and get into a special educational needs school so fingers crossed!
This week I'm also going back to Boot camp (Tuesday and Thursdays at 6pm) and on Wednesday I'm starting a Level 1 course in British Sign Language. Yesssssss.

As I was starting a new course I felt like giving myself pretty nails. What better than a bit of a rainbow pre-school style.

L-R: Barry M Peach Melba, BM Blue Moon, Topshop Parma Violet, BM Mint Green*, BM Pale Yellow.

The necklace that I wore today was this cute little rabbit from LLROK - but I actually bought it from ebay.

*Hello to Charlotte - can't wear mint green without thinking of her ;)

Models Own.

A while ago I mentioned about the half price sale Models Own were having on their website.
As I love a bargain and love Models Own nail varnish I decided to snap a few up.
Here's a picture of what I bought.

L-R: Green Grass, Aciiied, Beth's Blue, Pink Fizz, Smash Up Orange.

I've only used Aciiied and Green Grass. Aciiied was a lovely colour and lovely finish. I'm in two minds about Green Grass. I has to shake it for AGES as it seems to be so watery and thin. It took my about 6 coats. I painted it about 3 coats in one day then kept adding a coat for the next couple of days.
I did end up with a lovely finish (in the end!) and it did last for about 4-5 days without any chips - though that's probably because I kept topping it up.
Here's the end result (I didn't take a photo of Aciiied, ooops).

What do you think? Did you get anything from the Models Own sale?
:)

My Little Pony

My parents have been off work for two weeks (going back tomorrow) and they went to Whitby for the day with my sister. I was ill so didn't make it.
My mam bought me this cute necklace which is like My little Pony.

 It glows in the dark!

I hope everyones well, been really busy recently but have so much to blog about. I'm probably going to do a few posts today so this is short.
