"Excuse me, I need to call everyone I've ever met right now!"

Today I met up with my good friend Will for a brief coffee and present swap. I thought I'd show you the treats I got from him and his lovely girlfriend Lucy.

:)

Lovely bird nail transfers. I can't wait to try them out, but I'll be saving them for a special occasion as they're too lush!

 Another owl necklace! YESSS!
Its great because I don't have an owl necklace like it :)

Pineapple and lime vegan toffees from Australia. Strange but good!

'Hurraw!' raw vegan cherry lip balm. :D

Raw vegan cranberry kisses chocolates. These are soooo good!

Such a good little haul!
The rest of my day was spent finishing season 6 of Angel and then starting season 1 of Buffy (I'm not obsessed.....). I also ate a lovely vegan Chinese that was sort of homemade, aka the sauces came from a jar this time for quickness.

So good!

I'm also mega tempted to buy an Apple computer in the next couple of days. I've been saving up for one for a while as my laptop died a death a couple of months ago now and have been reduced to using my tiny and basic old netbook. If I buy online direct through the Apple store before the 6th January I can get 10 months interest free credit. My ebay fund has made me a little under half way of the total cost, and I plan to add many more things on ebay over the next few days/weeks (having a massive home clear out!) so potentially 10 months of 0% would be doable.
The sensible side of me thinks I should use my paypal money to put towards paying off my student overdraft rather than splashing it on an expensive computer, especially since I've been unemployed for a year. However I'm about 85% certain I'll place an order on Wednesday.....unless someone convinces me otherwise?
Any Apple horror stories out there? Needs to be pretty mega as I can't stand how unreliable windows is!
Let me know.

Thanks.

Oh deer: Part 2.

This post should have been with the previous "Oh deer" post - but never mind!

My two other deer necklaces.

This blue deer is called "Docey Doe" and came in a variety of colours from LLROK! I also have some yellow earrings.

This beauty is from Kate Garey for Urban Outfitters. I was too stingy to pay the £16 they were asking so I bought mine off ebay for less than a fiver. Win!

Hope you've enjoyed my deer.

My youth is slipping away.

In exactly 3 months I will turn 25.
This means I will officially be "mid-twenties". I will move up an age bracket in the statistics (no longer 16-24 or 18-24, I will be 25-34!!). I'll no longer be classed as a "young person".
How depressing.

As a result, I thought it'd be best to blog about some necklaces that remind me of my favourite things from my childhood/youth.

Bringing back any memories for you?

First up is my Carebears necklace. When I was younger I used to LOVE Carebears. This necklace is from eBay and only cost a couple of pounds.

Also from eBay (from the same seller in fact) is this slush necklace. Its such a big necklace. There were several slush options however most were sold out so I settled on orange.
Slush puppies are by far the thing that reminds me of my childhood the most. I remember always getting one at the Metro station on my way for an adventure with my Mam and Nana and Grandad. I also used to get one at the bus station coming home from the Metro Centre. I always had to hide my slush when getting on the bus otherwise my Mam would end up arguing with the bus driver who thought I'd spill it. (Spill a slush?! As if! I never wasted any!)
I used to love trying all the flavours and getting different brands but Slush puppies were always my favourite. Blue raspberry was/is my favourite flavour too. Deffo going to try and hunt down a blue slush necklace!

It's such good detail though, with a bright blue straw and softer plastic fruit. :)

Next up is gingerbread men - or in the case of this necklace - a gingerbread family! This necklace is from Claire's and cost me about £2. I used to always get a gingerbread man at Greggs in the middle of said Metro journeys. We'd also sometimes make our own at home :)

Last up in this trip down memory lane is one of my newest necklaces. A house. I have wanted this house necklace for months, but at £10 I was a bit put off. However as its sale time I found it in the Accessorise sale for £3! THREE POUNDS! 70% off - what a deal!
The real reason why I love this necklace and why it reminds me of my childhood can be seen in the next picture....

It opens up and inside are the rooms of the house. This reminds me of Polly Pockets and all the other different kinds of doll houses I had or wanted (Barbie, Playmobil, etc).

Hope you like them :)
